I just finished watching OZ... [21 Dec 2009|09:17pm] ozslash [krakenbwool] ...and I now have no reason to live. I was profoundly moved by all the characters and themes depicted on the show, and I truly believe the world would be a better place if everyone would watch the show and take its messages to heart. As this is a slash comm., the B/K couple affected me especially, as never have two fictional characters managed to bring me so much joy and so utterly break my heart. The best part about their relationship for me was that Fontana handled it not as gay love between two men, but as the unlikely love between two people, who so desperately need it, which can be understood universally (if you haven't read this article, you really should). Personally, I believe that the story of B/K's relationship could open up more minds than Queer as Folk or Brokeback Mountain ever could, if only more people gave the show a chance.
